Happy Hen Treats Mealworm Frenzy, 30-Ounce

Hen Treats
These are dehydrated mealworms and my hens absolutely love them. We have such fun feeding them to the hens and ducks. They come running when they think we have them. They are somewhat pricey, in my opinion, for a chicken snack, however they really do love them a lot. I always buy them from Tractor Supply, however they are out frequently. I'm glad to see them available at Amazon.
Your Chickens Will Come Running
We buy ours from Tractor Supply, but as the other reviewer noted, they are out quite often. So Amazon is a great backup. If you have chickens that you like to spoil, or are getting chickens that you want to tame...these are bar none the best thing for a happy chicken response. Now we just shake the canister and they come running from all over the yard. Total feeding frenzy. They'll even eat them out of our hands.

[...]
My chickens say these are yummy!
Mealworms are my chickens very favorite treat, wish they were cheaper. When they see the package, they come running. Its an easy way for me to round them up and get them back into the coop.

Gardman BA04513 Mealworm Tub Medium - 7 oz. (200 gram)

My Mockingbird Loves These!
I have a rather tame mockingbird that loves freeze dried meal worms. I had been buying them locally for around $8 for a large sized Dixie cups full. The quantity of meal worms in this tub is approximately three of the Dixie cups full of worms, so ordering quantity is a real cost saver. Robins love the meal worms as well, so there has been quite a bit of competition at the feeder lately. Both the robin and mockingbird are feeding their babies these meal worms, so they are "parent approved".
Bluebirds are very happy!
I have eastern bluebirds nesting in my birdhouse. They are most happy with the free access to a hanging feeder filled daily with mealworms, and they are raising their second brood of beautiful bluebird babies!
Mealworms
This is a repeat order of this product. The price is very good, packaging is excellent and the product is in perfect condition.

Oxbow Regal Rat Food, 3-Pound Bag

Speaking for the rats....
Gus said, "I generally grab the Oxbow and hoard it, along with the Mazuri cubes. I prefer to eat fresh food. But it's nice to have something to fall back on .... Assuming Laslo doesn't plunder my stash, the twit."

Laslo said, "My pen mate doth protest too much. He wasn't gonna eat that other stuff anyway, and if he wanted to protect his hoard, he should hide it better. And don't listen to anything he said about the vet weighing him 80 grams lighter after a couple of months. It had NOTHING to do with my, uh, borrowing his Oxbow pellets."

Fawn said: "My owner drops the Oxbows all over the cage for me to 'hunt and gather,' so I do. When push comes to shove, I eat 'em -- especially when my owner cuts off the food supply to get me hungry enough to eat yogurt stuffed with yucky-tasting medicine. Don't need meds, don't want meds. I hate the vet. But Oxbow is okay. They say it has all my nutritional needs met. Hmmph. I still prefer cooked salmon and yam balls sweetened...
Best food for Rats!!
After much research, I decided Oxbow Regal Rat was the best food for the nutrition content my ratties need. Corn (which is not good for ratties) is not in the main ingredients! I find that this food brings out the best in my ratties: shiny fur, radiant personalities, and great health overall.

The best thing after opening the bag is that it's RESEALABLE!

Also, I heard that this may not be the most palatable food for rats, so I contacted the company. They said that most rats take a while to get used to it because they're transitioned from another food, but if ratties are started on it there's no issue. The recommendation is to feed Oxbow Regal Rat to ratties 4 months and older, so before that, just use another pellet to provide the growth nutrients. For my young rats, I supplement with Native Earth 18% (used to be Harlan Teklad) for the extra protein, then wean them off so the Regal Rat is all they get (with treats like fresh and prepared people foods, of...
wish the rats liked it better
I think this is a really healthy food for rats, it smells very fresh and is

attractively packaged, and the only thing I find wrong with it is that my

rats don't particularly like it. They will eat it quite well for a few days,

but after that they kind of politely ignore it until there's nothing else in

their bowls. Then they hide it behind their boxes or stack it in the corner

as if by emptying their bowls they can cause new and DIFFERENT food to

appear. Aside from that it really is the best rat food that I've found.

TetraFin Flakes, 7.06-Ounce

This one's for the fish

Simply the best small pond fish food I've found - regardless of price
Don't know which fish food to buy? I didn't either. So I started buying various brands and noted the way my fish and pond reacted. At first I thought "What do fish know about taste and quality? One food's the same as the next." How wrong I was! My pond is about 200 gallons in which live 13 comets, walkin and shubunkin. The largest fish is an 8" comet. This flake-style food floats, as well as all the other brands I tried. It makes it easy to observe how quickly the fish take the food and whether they spit it out after taking it. In retrospect, of 5 competing products I tried previously, the fish ate all of them but seemed disinterested, taking the offered food only because there was no alternative, not because they were particularly fond of it. Then my daughter recommended that I try TetraFin Flakes. I first bought 7 ounces, fearing that it would be "more of the same". The difference, however, was nothing short of amazing. Suffice it to say that the fish "attack" this food in what can...
Fussy Fish
I bought a house last year and inherited some fish in a pond. The seller left some food behind and when the fish finally awoke from their winter sleep I gave them some of the food. There were two kinds of food--one flake and one in stick form. They didn't seem to like the stick variety so I tossed it and fed them the flakes. Inevitably I ran out of the flakes and went to purchase the same product. The Petco store was out of that brand. I picked a similar flake food and brought it home and tossed it in the pond. The fish rushed out as they usually did for food but seemed a little taken aback by this new one. I figured "different food--takes a while to adjust". The next day they seemed less interested. By the third day they didn't even bother to come out of their little cave under the waterfall. Point taken. I went to a different Petco and found the right brand and brought it home. They were a little slow trusting me but by the second feeding they were happily rushing out...

Kaytee Supreme Food for Rabbit, 10-Pound

Pellets, not "treats"
The 50 lb bag shipped without additional packaging, but was sturdy enough to survive the journey intact. The contents are pellets, not treats, so the description is misleading. But it you are looking for an inexpensive, good-quality pellet for your rabbit companions, this will do it.

This is the same product as
Kaytee Supreme Food for Rabbit, 10-Pound
in a 50 lb bag.
Our Rabbits Love It!
This is a great product - the main ingredient is Timothy Hay. Our two Dutch rabbits love it! The 50 pound bag is such a great bargain for $25! (By contrast, Amazon sells this same product in a 5 pound bag for about $9 - to get the same amount of food buying little bags, you'd spend $90!). Similarly, the price here is much, much better than at my local pet stores. I recommend it!
Spiral
Dear Reader,
I had recently bought the Kaytee Supreme Treats for Rabbits. I love that the product was very light pick up, and that the price was so cheap. The product doesn't smell so that was also a plus,
Sincerely,
Spiral

Halo, Purely for Pets Spot's Stew Natural Dry Grain-Free Cats Food, Hearty Chicken, 6-Pound Bag

Do not give to a cat with urinary issues such as FLUTD!!!
I appreciate the fact that there is no meals in this food but the high fiber 6.5% & ash 6.5% content is disastrous for male cats! The higher the fiber content the more dehydrated your cat becomes and as a result the more concentrated the urine gets.

I have a male cat that has had bouts of flutd for years. This food will block your male cat very quickly in a matter of months. My female cats love it and did fine on it but it was horrible for my male.

I've since switched my cats to mainly wet food with dry food only given as a snack. Merrick before grain chicken has been good for them. Purina Pro Plan chicken & rice was also ok. These foods both have meals in them which I don't prefer, but low fiber & ash content is a necessity. Hope this helps.
My cat thinks it's delicious!
My cat loves this brand of cat food. She is lackluster about the other Halo brands- and she's tried them all. As soon as I put this in the bowl she came running. My cat is 15 years old and doesn't eat a lot. I want to insure that what she DOES eat is of high quality. Finally, a grain-free food that she will eat! Also ,the price isn't bad either- it could cost more. She wasn't a fan of Avoderm, but she visits her food bowl frequently now. I can hear her crunching on it right now actually.

I only wish that this came in larger bags. I free feed her this along with the occasional 1/2 can of wet cat food.
Halo Grain Free Dry Cat Food
I recently took in a beautiful stray cat and named him Stashu. We also have a dog and 2 parakeets. All of our animals eat healthy, really good food and are well cared for. I want all of my pets to live a long healthy life. Our dog has been eating Halo dry dog food and does very well on it. I decided to try the Halo brand for my cat Stashu and he loves it!!!! I feed him both the dry and wet Halo cat food. I am very pleased that this product is Grain Free since felines do NOT eat grains, they are carnivores. Stashu has stopped "Tooting" all the time since he has been eating this food. This is a very healthy food for cats (in addition to adding the Halo can food as well). I highly recommend this product. Its all natural - just read the ingredients.

Kaytee Supreme Diet for Guinea Pig, 5-Pound

YUMMY!
I have to say that the 2 reviews were right on about the taste and smell of this food for our GPs. I bought this based on price as well - very well priced! As soon as it arrived I opened the bag and brought it into the room where the GPs are. They came out of their house and sat next to the door to their cage and sniffed. I was very impressed since they always hide when I come around them. Oh, and yes they eat it like turkey on Thanksgiving! Conclusion: great food! great price! Buy it every time!!!
"Blehk!"
...at least that's what my guinea pigs said!

I should have listened to some of the other reviews about this food; I'd seen that it was lower in Vitamin C (an essential vitamin to guinea pig health, just like humans), but figured that in a pinch, I could add some additional fresh fruit, and maybe a Vitamin C yogurt drop to their diet, as well.

The "pigs" didn't like that idea - and wouldn't touch the food. It's like they knew it wasn't going to support their systems.

Ultimately, I contacted Amazon and returned this food, and purchased another from a local pet store that had "Vitamin C" written all over the packaging instead - which they ate, are eating now, and love.
Does it have enough vitamin C?
I just received this guinea pig food today and was looking it over and reading ingredients. As all you piggy lovers out there know, guinea pigs, like humans, can not survive without vitamin C. Most guinea pig pellets are supplemented with vitamin C to prevent this deficiency. It is basically the only difference between guinea pig pellets and rabbit pellets, which are often much less expensive. No where on the label for "Kaytee Supreme Diet for Guinea Pigs" does it mention vitamin C content. Not anywhere. It is an ingredient, but they don't mention how much is in it. If you buy this, make sure your pigs get plenty of fruits and veggies. Mine always do anyway, but I like to know their pellets support this need as well.
EDIT: New bag has arrived. The label has been changed to include the Vitamin C content. THANK YOU! The review has been changed accordingly.

Nekton Labs BNK202150 Nekton E Fertility Wet Pet Food, 5-Ounce

Great product!
Works very well; I see a major change in the birds before and after consuming. They are definitely a lot more active afterwards.
Nekton E
This product helped our breeder birds produce more fertile eggs along with a slightly harder shell. I would recommend this for any breeder of birds.

Hikari Usa Inc AHK27166 turtle Sticks 2.20lb Bulk

a lot of turtle sticks
Hikari turtle sticks bring out the most beautiful colors in a turtle! Great and complete pellet diet to be fed alongside other meats for carnivores. Did not know what two pounds looked like but its about the size of a throw pillow and deff worth the price.
my turtles are happy campers!
I am the mom of 2 rather large red-earred slider turtles acquired 2 years ago when they were tiny..(go figure~I am a cat person by nature) By trial and error I learned what food they like and it was getting expensive, buying 2 oz. bags for $3.59 at pet store; I discovered that Amazon carries reptile products and purchased 2.2 lb of Hakari Turtle Sticks at a considerable savings..my turtles love it and I am so thrilled with the convenience of shopping at Amazon as well as the great price...
my pond turtles love it!
I have two red-eared sliders and they LOVE this food! They go after it with as much gusto as they go for their treats (like krill). I tried a small bag from a pet shop at home and they loved it so much that I had to buy this large bag online. I definitely recommend trying this food for your turtles!

Pine Tree 5003 Log Jammer Berry N Nut Suet Plug

Like Bird Candy!
I use suet all year as there is are several woodpeckers in my area who love it. The berry and nut bars seem to be a favorite for all the birds. I've seen chickadees, cardinals, bluejays, wrens and those cute little nuthatches greedily gobbling these little logs. They seem to eat it like candy and it disappears rapidly. I'd buy this product again.
Great way to feed the birds
I had bird feeders in an open patio on the side of the house, so I could watch the birds and tv at the same time. Unfortunately, this attrcted mice. WHAT A HORROR!!!! I use these suet plugs in hollowed out logs hanging from the ceiling. The birds LOVE it and there are NO MORE MICE!!!

Tetra 77260 Brine Shrimp Gel Mix, 16-Count, 1.4-Ounce

Good for betta fry
I agree this product is gooey, and sinks to the botttom of the tank. However i have feed it to my betta fry approx. 1 month old fry andthey have doubled in size. Their color has really came out also. I challenge anyone to just try this food for any fry and see how it works.
No, not good. Yuck.
The packets are gooey, sticky, and just sink to the bottom as a clump of mushed up worms. Expensive as well. I went to Petsmart and bought an entire can of dried bloodworms (intact!) which hydrate in the water and look real - anyway, the fish love them. Even my freshwater puffer will grab them as they float by.
Not good for daily use. It will foul your water
This will foul our water if used daily. Of course the directions says that to use this as a supplement. I use to feed my fishes frozen blood worms once a week. I thought this would be a different treat for them. But the first pouch itself gave a "yike" feeling. The portion will stay in water with out any problem until a fish bites it. Then it starts becoming cloudy and you will see a lot of small dots all round your tank. I suspect that the uneaten particles will stay in the tank and will foul the water. I am planning to give this food only on the day I do a water change. That way the uneaten food can be removed without fouling the water.

Marshall Pet Marshall Premium Ferret Diet, 26-Ounce Carton

A necessity for Marshall Ferrets
I've lived with ferrets for over 20 years, and most have been Marshall ferrets. This food was formulated by Marshall to meet the nutritional needs of ferrets and should be a good fit for your Marshall ferret. If you're new to ferrets, please understand that ferrets are not like dogs or cats and imprint on what is food and what is a treat very early in life. Marshall ferrets grow up expecting this as food. It's a bit of work to switch them over to other foods.

This food is versitile and can be served cold as kibbles, mushy with water for a younger ferret, a sick ferret or an older ferret, or it can be served mushy and warm for an older or sick ferret. Be warned that while there's a fair amount of protein in this, it's fish based and wet Marshall Farms food smells awful.

This food stores well both inside the carton and in plasticware. While it will pick up moisture in a damp environment, as long as it's not too damp, the food doesn't seem to spoil, and as...
Vets recommends it!
I had asked my vet about ferret food, and my vet told me that marshall's is a good food :)
Chunks are too big...
My ferret likes it, but the chunks are too big for her although very soft to chew. I often crush it a little to make meals easier for her.

LM Animal Farms Bonanza Gourmet Diet Chinchilla Food

Our Chinchilla Loves it
We have tried many different pellet foods for our pet chinchilla and so far this is the one that he likes best. The pellets are a mixture of the different hays that are good for chins.
My chinchilla's favorite food
I've heard a lot about the appropriate diet for a chinchilla and the fact that they should not have fruits and vegetables because their systems aren't geared for it. COnsidering that they live in the Andes naturally, I have to agree that things like carrots and apples will not be a natural part of their diet. That being said, my chinchilla has tried several foods without much success. But when I filled his bowl with Bonanza, he went crazy. He loves the food, eats it well, and waits by the door for me to refill his bowl. His energy is good, coat is soft and thick, and his weight is in good stead. I would recommend this food to any chinchilla owner, especially those with picky eaters. They gobble it up. Please remember to provide a generous supply of fresh hay.

Natural Balance Dry Cat Food, Limited Ingredient Pea and Salmon Recipe, 10 Pound Bag

Option of cats with allergies
After spending more on allergen-free food from my vet than I spend on groceries for myself, I looked for a reasonable option for my special-needs kitty who is apparently allergic to something in regular cat food.

This food is way cheaper than specialty food from the vet, and my cat's allergic reactions slowly went away after we switched. It smells like death, but it works.
Healthy Cat Food, less stinky outcome
I love Fionna, really I do. She is sleek and black and such a cat. However, her daily doody brought tears to my eyes. Company would suddenly remember forgotten appointments. It was enough to wake me from a sound sleep....in my three story house. I also noticed bloody poo some of the time. My daughter had similar problems with one of her cats. Her vet recommended NB Cat Food. It is the best!! Both of my cats looooooovvve it! While I cant' say the litter box is completely odor-free, the aroma is much more tolerable and within normal range of kitty smells. Both cats are grateful for the change. I highly recommend Natural Balance Green Pea and Salmon Cat food. The one made with duck makes my cats quite happy, also.
My cats stomach jumped out her mouth and said hello
I picked up a sample of this stuff at a health fair and figured that I would just use it as treats and keep my cat on her Iams. I came home and gave my cat her normal "welcome home" snack which she normally eats with a standard amount of cat excitement. I actually thought that she would be disappointed-- it's just cat food, after all, akin to giving a 5-year-old a carrot when he's expecting an Oreo (right?)

Not the case. When I gave her a piece of this food she went bonkers. She even jumped on the shelf and knocked over the container to try to get more out and continued with this behavior for an hour until I hid it in my sock drawer. the next morning when I opened the sock drawer she ran right up and demanded more NOW. I have never seen her love a food so much! It's crazy, I feel like I am living in the middle of a cat food commercial for this stuff.

I notice that most people seem to be buying this food for health reasons, but I am buying it because I am...
