A miracle for my tiny dogs!
I saw other reviews about how well this feeder works for a large dog like a Great Dane, but I wasn't sure if it would work for my two little 10 lb chihuahuas. Holy crap does it work! One of my little guys is a real chow hound. He doesn't chew his food - he vacuums it up straight into his stomach. But this thing really really slows him down. Plus, we can scatter shredded cheese in it when we leave them home alone and it keeps them busy for a long time. AND it's dishwasher safe. I love this thing! It's very much worth the price.

Slows a 90lb lab's consumption of two cups of dry food from about 30 seconds to about 12 minutes. He appears challenged throughout the whole process. Pretty funny. :)
Good idea for dogs that normally eat their food way too fast!
We recently adopted a Doberman/shepherd mix puppy who loves to inhale her food in record time. We tried using some of the easier puzzle toys, but she still went through them pretty fast or gave up trying to figure them out. We also used the orange ball for dispensing food, but found she lost too many pieces of food under the furniture. With this, the "blades" slow her down from eating, and the food all remains in the bowl rather than under furniture. And she eats all her food without losing interest :) Great, simple product!
