AGPtek® Rechargeable Wireless LCD digital dog Training Shock collar with 100LV of Shock and Vibration, Remote Control

Great for the price
If your looking for something basic that is straight forward and easy to use and priced affordably this is perfect. Bought it for my problem pup that just needs a reminder here and there. I keep it on vibrat and he doesn't seem to need any more than that. We used the shock on him once or twice and now he knows that the vibrate (warning) is enough. The shock for him however, did not phase him at anything lower than 85-90% power. Maybe its because he is a bigger dog...This doesn't really matter tho, since the vibrate mode is sufficient to stop whatever it is he's doing.
You get what you pay for.
So I liked that this collar had sound, vibrate and shock. I honestly thought, with my boxer rescue, that I would use the sound then the vibrate and never have to shock. Well, I was wrong. Now I think this has nothing to do with the collar but with a suborn boxer dog; the sound portion made no difference in behavior. The vibrate worked.....well, kinda..... it made him look oddly sideways at what was on his neck. Ultimately a shock was what I needed to get his attention. A bit of advice, I do tell him "no" or "leave it" etc...then a vibrate with the word...and then a shock. He has gotten much better as far a training and commands. No matter how dumb you think a dog is, they are smart. He always acts better with the shock collar on then without. So even if not charged, I'd use it for reinforcement. Them just feeling it's presence makes a big difference. Some people talked about the charge running out...etc. I have had no problems with the charge, though I use...
Great but the electric shock level is very high for small dogs
My small dog had been reaching ever greater heights of "emperor syndrome" and we finally decided to use a training collar. It has worked pretty well so far. With only two sessions and just three electric stimulations, our dog has improved. Before using the shock setting, I tried it on myself to ensure that we did not over-shock our pet. After experiencing 100%, I dialed it down to 40%. But even that was much too high. We finally lowered it to 2% as that registered with her but did not produce a yelp. So, for small dogs, under 10 lbs. be careful about the setting. Otherwise, product worked as advertised. Good price too.
