Cats loved it at first-poor delivery system
I am changing my original review on this product from 5 star to 2 star for these primary reasons:
1. My cats really liked this product for a couple of weeks. Then suddenly none of my three cats would touch it.
2. From the beginning I was unhappy with the delivery system. It comes in a very thick tube. You had to really squeeze the tube and work with it to get the gel to flow. Having arthritis in my hands really made this difficult.
3. After using it for a couple of weeks the product separated. Sometimes you would get only a runny liquid substance and other times you would get a pasty consistancy. I believe this is the reason my cats no longer cared for it as I am sure it did not taste the same. I used one of the squeeze tube gadgets and that didn't help at all. I tried to shake the tube and mix it up to no avail.
4. The smell of the product changed. It went from smelling minty to musty.
5. Putting it on their paws was never an option. It is gooey...
Cat loves it and works better than using nothing at all
My cat loves it and thinks it's a treat. All I have to do is unscrew the top and squeeze some and he licks it right from the tube. It does seem to help with the frequency of hairballs as long as you give it consistently. I still occasionally see them though so it doesn't stop the hairballs permanently
Wonderful Medicine
This product dramatically reduces vomiting due to hairballs. It's good for the carpets and the cats are much happier and significantly calmer. I get a lot less resistance to the catnip flavour over other versions and a couple of them even like it. It's easy to get them to eat it, of you smear it on a forepaw, much less gruesome than trying to get them too eat pills.
