Viralys (L-Lysine) Oral Gel For Cats, 5 oz

Great Supplement!
Buying this product here instead of at the vet's office saved me a lot of money, and a 30 minute trip up to the next town north of my own. This product is very effective at helping my cats' immune systems overcome the negative effects of herpes, and keeps their sneezing and eye discharge down to a minimum. They both like the taste, and are very good about taking this supplement.
My kitty loved it
When my cat started having eye discharge, the vet said it was an outbreak of the herpes virus. She prescribed VET Viralys (along with erythromycin opthalmic ointment). I gave Viralys to my cat three times a day for a week. She loved the taste and happily licked it off my finger. After a week, the problem cleared up and has not returned. Highly recommended.
Wonderful product, great price.
My vet recommended this product for my cat who has chronic FHV. Her nose was always congested, her eyes running, and she used to sneeze constantly. This really cleared up the symptons within a few days. She suggested half dose, or once a day, would be enough for my cat once the symptoms were gone. That helps with the cost, and seems to work as well as the full dose. My biggest surprise is that my cat LOVES it! I just squeeze a small amount on a dish and she licks it right up. So easy, and well worth the expense. Medi-Vet Animal Health has the best prices on Amazon for this product.

C.E.T. Toothpaste - Enzymatic Tartar Control, Beef Flavor, 70 g

My dog loves it!
Decided to try this C.E.T. toothpaste out when the first kind of toothpaste we bought for him (Dr. Wilsons) made him gag and puke everywhere for over a day. This toothpaste doesn't do that, so thats a huge plus. I'm assuming this is because there's no foaming ingredients in this. He actually likes the beef flavor, so brushing his teeth isn't nearly as bad as it was with that brand of toothpaste.

70g doesn't sound like a lot and in all honestly it's not a ton (not as big as a regular sized humans toothpaste), but it's actually a pretty decent amount. I compared this to Petrodex toothpaste and I chose this for my dog simply because it had less filler and more ingredients that actually have a PURPOSE (read: enzymes; it has one more enzyme, lactoperoxidase)! I see that some people are worried about sorbitol and dextrose being in the toothpaste, but dont be. Almost all other pet toothpastes have these ingredients and they are present in such minute amounts that they dont really...
great product, take it from a professional
I am a registered dental hygienist (for people) who has also cleaned dog teeth in veterinary settings as well as my own dogs' teeth at home, so I can attest to the importance of good oral care for us and our pets! Regular effective cleaning can help guard against both tooth decay and gum disease (which causes the teeth to become loose and fall out eventually). Cleaning your pets' teeth "in office" at the vet is a valuable service -one which I highly recommend; but it's hard on your pet (anesthesia req'd) and on your pocketbook; so if you can do it once every few years instead of every year, you will both be better off! Let me be clear: if your vet recommends in-office treatment, then you should do it -there are many problems which they can diagnose and treat only in their office under anesthesia. But in the meantime, and afterward, you can do a lot at home.

I've had great success with C.E.T. Enzymatic toothpastes -they work great, imho better than competitors' brands,...
My cat and dog like it.
Our pets like the taste just fine, no fighting the nitely teeth brushing routine. I was sorry to see the price went up over 8 bux but because it's a clear gel, it does last longer than the other toothpaste. I just wish the manufacturers would make the tube with a more pliable mat'l. Getting maximum product out of it can be a wrestling match (even w/the toothpaste squeezers we use). Sometimes the tube will split just enough to start oozing...yuck and wasteful.
But overall, it's a necessary product for our pets (we lost a dog too early because of bad teeth).
UPDATE 3.4.12: It may be worth checking price at vet's office first. Ours was selling for $8 while these distributors had it over $9.

Synergy Dental Fresh Dog, 17 Ounce

Amazing Results--It Really Works!
Did you know that February is Doggie Dental Health Month (at least in Texas)? I didn't, either, until my vet handed me an estimate for dental cleaning for my Pomeranian that included a $50 discount for this special celebratory occasion. That is, $50 off an approximately $407 dental cleaning.

Pregnant pause. Let's check out Amazon & see what the reviewers have to say about doggie dental health. I did a search & wound up here.

I was a skeptic before buying this & decided to risk the purchase based on the reviews here. How could a little bit of green fluid added to a water bowl clean my dog's teeth?

Well, it does. His teeth are cleaner and brighter, less "plaque-y" and his breath smells truly wonderful for a 14 year old lap dog. Really. No more doggy breath.

I took another reviewer's advice and purchased this Dental Fresh as well as the DDS Dental Wipes and she was right--my little dog loves to get his teeth cleaned with the dental...
This stuff is a miracle!!
Sorry to be graphic, but my two small dogs had breath that smelled worse than a corpse rotting in the sun!! If they were within 5-10 feet of your face and yawned, you would almost vomit! We were desperate and about to take them both in for an expensive cleaning even though I didnt believe it would work because their gums and teeth are healthy and clean. Anyways, with that overkill background information to get the point across, I will tell you that this stuff is absolutely amazing. They are now both cured of their severe halitosis,,, Completely!! They dont even have "dog breath",, basically no smell from their breath at all. I was extremely skeptical and expected little to no results, but for the price, I tought what the heck. With the results we got, I would happily pay 10 times more. Now I know everyone will get different results, but if you were on the fence, try it! If you get half as good of results as us, you will be thrilled.
Makes Breath Fresher!
Our poor dog had some awful breath before we tried this product. Add a tiny bit to each bowl of water and her breath is much, much better. Only downside is you have to keep using the product. If you run out, your dog's breath will be back to it's nastiness in a day. I have used one other product that supposedly works the same, but it didn't work at all. This one does.
