Super Pet 7-Inch Run-About Ball, Clear

7" too small for rats, but 11" is Wonderful fun! Cheaply made
We were warned not to put rats in a rat ball because it could hurt their spine, after research we found that this is only a problem if the ball is not large enough. Our sweet rat "Princess" is full of energy and likes to run, and we feared losing her. She comes when called, however, if she climbs up inside the couch, we cannot reach her, and she will gorge herself on the crumbs that the vacuum cannot reach. She will not come while eating the crumbs and we feared eating this junk food would make her sick or worse.

We got a large rat ball (size "Giant" about 11 inches in diameter). Princess is full grown but on the small side and this ball almost seemed too large for her, but turns out to be the perfect size.

Princess LOVES her rat ball; she will beg to go into it! We keep it next to her cage, and when we pick her up, she tries to wiggle toward her ball. She is a smart rat and she has learned her way around our house. She rarely crashes, but she will slowly bump...
Hamster Toys
No Hamster alive doesnt want to roll around in this ball....it gives hours of excercise (not all at once though!) and its fun to watch the kids delight in his travels...
Cheap and fun
This seven-inch clear plastic ball is cheap entertainment for the pet owners, and useful running exercise for the animal. We introduced ours to gerbils who were still fairly young, and after some tentative padding around, they got the hang of really scooting these balls across the floor. In the beginning, they'd (WHAM!) slam into walls or furniture, but they soon learned to pace themselves and, with the help of their (limited) vision learned to put on the brakes (SKID! SKID! SKID!) with their front paws, right at the last minute, like a Warner Bros. cartoon character braking with his heels. (I must emphasize that the animals never seemed to be dizzy, just surprised.) You really need a hard-surface floor for this, composition or hardwood or such; wall-to-wall carpet offers too much friction. A useful side attribute of these run-about balls is that you can pop your critters into them temporarily while you clean their cage or tank. Just make sure that in all situations, you lock...

Chuckit! Large Kick Fetch Ball

Border Collie Heaven
My 50+ pound Border Collie thinks this ball is better than a frisbee which is impressive when you consider how much Border Collie's love frisbees. We have to hide it from him when we are inside because he won't leave it alone until we put it up. We've had it two weeks and outside of being a little dirty from playing outside every day, its held up extremely well to his teeth and intense play. Love this brand for making durable toys and Amazon is hands down the most cost effective way to buy them.
My German Shepherd's Favorite toy
My German Shepherd has been difficult to please. He doesn't like the Chuckit! ball thrower, he does not like frisbees......but this.....he loves this. But he doesn't want me to kick it---I have to throw it.

So, I throw it up high and he chases it and loves to grab it and stop it from rolling and proudly brings his "big boy ball" back to me to do again. I can't throw it far but he is fine with that. I wanted him to like the Chuckit! thrower because that makes him run far to get the tennis ball---but he could care less--he wants his big boy ball.

A note on durability: I have taught my dog that this is a fetch toy--that means he fetches it and carries it back--he is not to chew on it. And when we are done playing fetch, he puts it up. This is not an indestructible ball. If he were to sit and chew on it, it would probably be destroyed in one day. But I give it five starts because it wasn't meant to be a chew toy. It works exactly as it was designed for---a...
Dog loves it!
I purchased for my 3 month old german shepherd puppy and he just loves it. Found also that they make a medium sized ball which I might get for my dog as well. This is great in that it's durable, it's not got stuffing to be tossed all over my home and other than teeth marks, he's not damaged the ball after a good 6 weeks of often use.

KONG Cat Cozie Kickeroo Catnip Toy (Assorted)

My cat is addicted
My cat is OBSESSED with her raccoon kickaroo. She carries it around in her mouth all day and loves to play fetch with it. I frequently wake up with it on top of me in bed from her wanting to play fetch in the middle of the night.. She also rolls around with it and licks it a lot. She has not taken to any other toy to the extent that she loves this one. Just picking it up and crinkling it at her, she goes nuts. My other cat also likes the raccoon and likes to kick it, but she likes to kick other toys too. And she's not wildly obsessed like the first cat is..

The toy is very lightweight even though it is large. The sound is a little irritating when you are trying to sleep, but there are much more irritating toys out there.

I've had the toy for nearly 2 months now, and considering my cat plays with it ALL DAY LONG, it is holding up very well. The felt on the face is getting a little fluffy, but none of the seams have split, the ears are still attached, and it has no...
The kickeroo is not my arm.
My silly demon of a foster kitty loves to wrestle with my hands and arms. While I know she is only playing, it hurts! I purchased the Kong Kickeroo so that she would have something to wrestle with that wasn't my arm. She still prefers to wrestle with my arm, when she goes after me I can substitute the kickeroo for my arm and she'll wrestle with the kickeroo instead of me.

The kickeroo is smaller and less firm than I'd imagined it would be, but it's filled something that makes a nice crackling sound and she loves wrestling with it. Silly demon kitty is small - only about 7 pounds. I'm not sure if this toy would be big enough for a large cat to wrestle with. I do not think it will survive my dog if he gets hold of it.

Bottom line: When Kickeroo dies I will order another. It reduces the amount of time silly demon kitty spends attacking me - for $5 it's worth it.
Excellent Product
My cat totally loves this item. He had one I purchased when I picked him up from the shelter. He played with it so much, I thought I had better get him a second one just in case. I literally just opened the package and he is in love again. It's an excellent toy for a cat to self-entertain.
