Eheim AEH4003540 Suction Starter Canister Filters Parts for Aquarium

eheim rocks
its very usefull item if u hav eheim classic filters... U dont hav to suck water from your mouth. It does the job for you in better, cleaner and faster way.
Great suction starter!
I have been using Eheim canister filters for 3 years and consider myself a "cool guy" I always use my mouth to "prime" the filter after each cleanup. Unfortunately depending on how much water is being trapped in the hoses and filter, sometimes it may not be easy to prime the filter without swallowing some fish water!!!!! With this suction starter, you basically stick the starter to the outlet and give it a few squeeze (it may "swallow" some water but will spit it right now with a built in drain) and the filter starts to be filled with water right away! What a life saver!!!

Seachem Matrix Carbon 500ml

Great carbon
I use this carbon for my turtle tank. We have two turtles a little bit larger than a silver dollar, and this carbon works great at keeping the tank from smelling and keeps the water very clean. I like the round shape of the pellets. Very uniform in size. You will like it. ENJOY.
the best carbon
works better and longer than cheap carbon from the pet store. I use this, along with seachem purigen to keep my tanks crystal clean. nothing but the best for my turtles

Deep Blue Clarity Plus in Tank UV Sterlizer 35W

Deep Blue 35W Clarity+ Sterilizer Does the Job!
We have a 120-gallon aquarium with four large Shubunkins. A few months after setting up the aquarium, we noticed the water getting cloudy. We increased the frequency and volume of water changes, but the cloudiness continued to increase. We added polishing pads to our Fluval 405 canister filter and added a H.O.T. Magnum equipped with a micron filter to capture the particulates. The added filters got dirty fast, but even with frequent cleaning and replacement, the cloudiness persisted and began to take on a greenish color. Upon doing further research, we found out this was "algae bloom." We were informed that this condition was not harmful to the fish, so we decided to try one of several chemical treatments because they were readily available. After several days, there was little if any change in the greenish, cloudy water. Since this chemical treatment was toxic to the fish as well as the algae, we opted to discontinue using it.

According to the research we did, UV...
NO MORE ALGAE....
UV Sterilizers are the best way to maintain your aquatic environment. You will no longer need to chase ph levels or fight with suspended algae, cloudy waters, and parasites. You will finally get to enjoy the peace and tranquility of watching your fish without a daily struggle to control the environment. UV Sterilizers will also increase your confidence to add new fish to the environment without the stress of whether they are infected with ick of some other vicious virus that will wipe out your tank.
I have this 35W DeepBlue on a 100 gal community tank that houses a variety of exotics, including eels and Knife fish. I have seen such a turnaround in this tank since I added the DeepBlue. No more anmonia spikes, algae, parasites.....Just the confidence of knowing that the fish and environment of safe from all of those pesky critters.
FYI---In addition to the DeepBlue, I maintain this tank with a Fluval 5X and live bacteria cultures to scrub the gravel. Maintenance costs...

Marineland PA0392 Diamond Blend Activated Carbon/Ammonia Neutralizing Crystals, 50-Ounce, 1417-Gram

Best Quality and Best Price *Buy from EntirelyPets*
Pros:
With following the rule of 30g to 30gal(min) this stuff works wonders, I had and was using HBH and it's carbon
if excellent no lie but its Ammonia Neutralizing blend really was a waste. You may pay a tad more for this but
that 3 bucks is worth every extra penny, plus EntirelyPets has it cheaper then the pet stores. Don't get me wrong
you still smell a tad of fishy/turtle water but you gotta stick you nose in the water.
-No smell compared to all other blends
anyone with turtles will know that nasty smell this is you answer)
-Lasts over a month *I change every month for best results*
-Less dust then all others so you barely have to rinse it
-If you water smells put this in a bag run you filter 24hr and your water will be crystal and smell free
-Not saying you wanta but when you change the media smell the water then the media and you be like WOW
this blend locks in a lot a smell and the only smell is off the media...
Good filter media
I use this media for my Emperor Power Filter system as a additional filter. It really help to dissolved organic waste and odors also removes toxic ammonia and chloramines.
Great Media!
I love Marineland and this media helped me lower the Ammonia level in my goldfish tank. It is amazing. Would recommend to anyone with a fresh water aquarium.

Marineland (Aquaria) AMLPA1341 Aquarium Extension Tube with Strainer for Eclipse PFE1 and Penguin 125-170 Power Filter, 3/4-Inch

Exactly what I wanted!
I rated this a 5 star because I couldn't find it anywhere else! It was an exact fit and my fish are very happy! Also the price was very resonable.
Works on my penguin
Needed this for a taller fish tank so it would suck more crud off the bottom. Fit onto my Penguin 110 fine. It's solid black though, unlike the original tube which is smoky translucent. You can't tell without looking closely however. It also only hold on by friction, but it hasn't come loose yet so I think it'll be fine.

Supreme (Danner) ASP12996 UV Ballast for Aquarium, 40-watt

Pondmaster Danner PUV FILTER and UV Ballast Light
Please do not make the mistake I did and buy any Danner Pondmaster product. As another reviewer stated, its impossible to tell if its the bulb or ballast that failed. My light quit working after only 4 1/2 months.

Its still under warranty so I called the phone number on the warranty paperwork (631) 234-5261. I was told to ship both parts back. I told the lady on the phone that the filter will not work with those parts removed and asked how long it would take to return the parts. Was told its really busy season now, could take a few weeks. I didnt want to go without any filter for several weeks so I procrastinated a couple days. I called back and was told to send in the ballast, it has a high failure rate and likely the cause. Since my water was turning greener by the day, I boxed up the ballast and sent it priority mail to Islandia, NY. Well after waiting a couple weeks I contact them to see if my part was shipped. I was told to prove they received the package...
Works great, but ...
The jury's still out on this one. I bought a Pondmaster filter which had the ballast and bulb included. The bulb lasted a short while before dying. Then, the new bulb which I ordered died as well and so I ordered yet another. It turns out that it was the ballast that actually died, not the bulb, and so I ordered this one to replace it.

The UV light works incredibly well. Within a few days of the bulb dying, my koi pond was green with algae and so dark you could not see the shallow shelf one foot under the water. After installing the new bulb / ballast, the water was clear again within a week.

However, I wish that there was a light on the ballast so that you can tell if the bulb is dead or if it is the ballast that needs replacing.

Another thing, there is a big label on the ballast which says "The light won't work without the ballast". That label should be on the light, not on the ballast and, anyway, there is no way to get the light into the filter...
pricey... but works.
I made a warentee claim on my previous one, and Danner wanted it back for the claim. Since removing the old one meant re-plumbing, I bought this replacement. What hapened to the last one? It seems like it was overheating and then it melted the seal for the quartz sleeve.

Danner customer suport is a bit of a pain... so don't buy their stuff if you don't want to be scratching your head after dealing with them. After sending photos of the damage and clearly telling them the problem (leave on for 30-60mins and it overheats and shuts off) and after makng me send it in (and have to fork out for a replacement to do so) they sent the old one back stating they could find nothing wrong with it, and what they sent back "may" be the same one I sent them, or be a reconditioned one, but it is not clear which... and they will not respond to my queries.

But... it does work really well to get rid of algae and floating critters... when it is working. I have a 1200 gal pond...

fyi for future buyers* Including shipping these are 4.3 cents each else where is normally
6-7cents and if its 4 cent a ball its not including it high shipping. So penny for penny

----------------------------
238 total and 225 are post to be in box
*Coralife fault not seller*
Good for your wet/dry biofilter sump
Good product, does what it is suppose to do at a great price. The box is actually bigger than it looks, 1 gallon is a lot of bioballs, I had extra to throw in another sump filter I made out of a 10 gallon tank.
Mini Bio Balls
I ordered this Mini Bio Balls because I wanted to put more bio filtration in two fish tanks. Its hard to tell at first that they was working but after I made 1 of my tanks just biological filtration I would tell it was working just fine. If you are looking to add more bio to your tanks the balls provide a lot of surface area for the size of the ball

Marineland PA11501 Canister Filter Foam for PC-ml530, 2-Pack

Does a good job. A bit overpriced.
these are nice pads that are form fitted for the trays in the C530.
They do a good job but I would recommend less expensive filter media alternatives if you can find them.
Too pricey at 5-6$/pad.
Great price compaired to the store
Saved like five dollers compaired to the store and works great. Shipping was fast and fits perfectly in my water filter. I love Marineland products for my fish tank!
easy to use, very straighforward
This is a necessity for all marineland c220 filters. I replace mine monthly to keep the flow in the filter at its peak. I also rinse every other week.
